Resistance Plus Exercise Bike Workout

Add some resistance to the exercise bike workout... Push on
something... This works well with the Schwinn Airdyne AD4 Upright Exercise Bike or with other bikes as well.
Get off the bike at the fast intervals and work with dumbbells. That way the room required for the equipment is just a minimum amount and the weight can be closely matched to the amount you want.
Work in shoulder and upper body exercises to balance the work done by your legs as you ride. That also lets the legs and the parts of the body stressed by the bike to partially recover with the different exercises being used.
You pick the exercises, but choose arm curls and presses for sure. Combine some side arm raises too and maybe mix in a few push ups for good measure. That makes for a much more balanced exercise bike workout that in truth becomes an overall fitness workout that surpasses just a simple stationary bike workout anyway.
Combine resistance, weight lifting, exercises with an exercise bike workout and you'll make fast progress.
That way you build muscle as you burn calories and you become a fat burning machine...
Build muscle and it's far easier to burn fat because your metabolism changes as you add muscle. Basal metabolism refers to your resting metabolism. Build muscle and it naturally increases your at-rest metabolism so that you burn more fat all the time. This is the true key to the easiest long-term weight loss for anyone. No need to worry about adding lots of muscle and looking weird either. Not going to happen for one thing... especially since because of hormones women have no risk of adding large bulky muscles. It's really toning and strength gains that can turn you to a fat-burner.
In any case, and exercise bike works so well for fitness and weight loss partly because it works the large muscle groups which leads to increased metabolism. Especially dual action exercise bikes like the Schwinn Airdyne excel at that and are a fast way to improvement...
