Exercise Bike Fat Loss
Exercise bike fat loss may be one of the best reasons to use an exercise bike. Seems that every other person has the answer to losing fat. If you just buy a pill or a machine or a new diet plan, that's the answer. But yet simple observation tells you that Americans are getting fatter and fatter. What is it now, sixty percent of Americans are obese? The reasons to not be fat are many and pretty obvious. Fat overworks your organs including your heart. It clogs your blood vessels. It makes you look bad and it makes you tired and miserable.
What is the overall approach to losing fat. once and for all? To lose fat you must eat sensibly, but fad diets aren't the answer. You must get exercise, but fad machines and extreme time-consuming workouts won't work either. How can a normal person spend hours a day exercising? Exercise bike fat loss can be a key tool since you can burn calories right at home at any time.
To lose fat, successful programs work to raise your basal metabolism. Basal metabolism is the rate at which you use energy when you're at rest. Increase the rate at which your body burns fat at rest and you can successfully lose fat for good. So you want to turn yourself into a fat burning machine.
Now how do you pull that off. First of all consider your diet. The body gets energy from fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Your body is complex and the conversion of food to energy is not simple. If I try to cut out all fats from my diet, I may get fatter still. That's pretty much what we've seen. Fat-free foods are everywhere, but we get fatter anyway. What if I cut all carbohydrates? First of all, that is very difficult if not impossible to do long term. And you may rob your body of needed nutrients if you do. But restricting carbohydrates is crucial for weight control. But the key is a sensible balance.
Now where does exercise come in and especially exercise bike fat loss? If you work vigorously at aerobic activity for just 12 minutes you begin to burn fat. Ride your exercise bike at a moderate to fast pace for just 12 minutes and you get exercise bike fat loss. Now that assumes some warm up and slow down time. So figure 20 minutes for a workout and you will burn fat. And with vigorous exercise your metabolism stays elevated even after you stop. Your goal is to get your metabolism to stay high permanently.
Now here's the real trick! Working muscles, building muscle, is the real key to long term fat loss. Don't be afraid of weight lifting either. You don't have to add bulky muscles and you don't have to spend a lot of time. As little as 30 minutes a week, no more that 90 minutes, with simple dumbbells is probably all you need to turn your body into a fat burning furnace. Combine simple dumbbell routines with a few 20 minute exercise bike rides each week and you can drop fat like crazy.
